BA is an extremely popular undergraduate course that students pursue right after their class 12th. The faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at The Sports School, through this program, aspires to provide our students with skills that aim to develop the creativity and awareness of issues in the society. The Sports School offers a BA in three specializations:
BA in psychology enables a student to dive deep into the study of mind and human behaviour. This course is designed to help students to understand the distinction of human behaviour and adapt the emerging fields and branches of psychology like Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Health Psychology etc. This course would also help students to learn the factors which affect human behavior and thought process of a human being.
This course deals with the study of the society and the different dimensions of the social world. In other words, BA in Sociology would enable students to understand the concept of society, culture and various institutions of society which includes marriage, family etc and various elements underlying between the different social strata.
Economics is one of the most widely studied subjects in a BA course. Economics helps in understanding the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services in the market. The Sport School’s BA in economics is structured to add analytical skills and an overall understanding to envision the nuances of economy and cost of production and how economies interact with each other and impact the world dynamics.
ELIGIBILITY: The minimum qualification required to apply is a pass in the 10+2 examination in Science or Commerce from PUC/CBSE/ISC or equivalent board. Students should have pursued a sport at the school level.
