The BFC TSS program is a unique opportunity for children between the ages of 10 and 18 to enhance their skills in the Bengaluru FC way. Based on the child’s improvement, they will have the opportunity to train and try out with the appropriate BFC Academy Team. If the child breaks into the U13 & U15 team, they can convert their football training into a full scholarship and be based out of the Club’s Residential Academy at Inspire Institute of Sports, Bellary. The U18 and reserve teams are based out of Bangalore, and players in this age group will eventually have the chance to trial and play with these teams based on their performance.

How many matches and tournaments will my child play during the year? What kind of tournaments? Will my child be able to play in any leagues? Will TSS help my child in participating in major league tournaments?

BFC, in partnership with TSS, will be entering squads into the AIFF Youth Leagues (U13/15/18) from the 2021-22 season. In addition to the Youth Leagues, players will also have the opportunity to participate in the Youth League organized by the Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) and select tournaments on a pan-India level based on the team’s schedule.

BFC, in partnership with TSS will be entering the squads into the AIFF Youth Leagues (U13/15/18), from the 2021-22 season. BFC is a club that has established distinct pathways from grassroots to the first team. It is one of the few clubs in India that offers a player development pathway as part of its program. BFC has Elite and Academy teams from the U8s to the U18s, as well as a Reserve Squad that acts as a feeder to the first team playing in the Indian Super League (ISL). Through the BFC-TSS program, children have the opportunity to enhance their skills and qualify for a scholarship to join the BFC academy at Bellary, thereby expanding the talent pool for the reserve and first teams in the future.

The BFC program offers ten sessions per week, including technical, tactical, physical, and mental training. It is a year-round program designed to prioritize the child’s development and take into account major tournaments and best practices followed at BFC.

The coach-to-player ratio is 1:15. Once full squads are formed in each age group, each team will have a Head Coach and Assistant Coach.
In addition to planned leagues and tournaments, we also consider external tours once travel is normalized. Students at TSS will have the opportunity for international exposure tours to Rangers FC in Scotland, who are partners of Bengaluru FC.
The Head Coach and Technical Head of BFC Soccer Schools and Grassroots Development will periodically review the program and player performance indicators. Based on this, players may have the opportunity to train at the BFC Residential Academy or trial with age-appropriate teams in their respective age groups.
The BFC academy consists of some of the best players scouted from across India. The TSS program complements the Academy program by expanding the talent pool and providing an avenue for children who are ready to take the step up.
