The BFC TSS program is a unique program that provides an opportunity for children between the ages of 10 and 18 years to hone their skills the Bengaluru FC way. Based on the improvement shown by the child, he/she gets an opportunity to train and try out with the appropriate BFC Academy Team.
On breaking into the U13 & U15 team, the player can convert his football training into a full scholarship and be based out of the Club’s Residential Academy at Inspire Institute of Sports, Bellary. The U18 and reserve team are based out of Bangalore and players in this age group based on performance will get an opportunity to trial and play with these teams eventually.
BFC, in partnership with TSS will be entering the squads into the AIFF Youth Leagues (U13/15/18), from the 2021-22 season. Apart from the Youth Leagues, players will also get a chance to play in the Youth League organised by the Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) and some tournaments on a pan-India level which will be chosen based on the teams’ schedule.
BFC is a club that has identified distinct pathways from grassroots to the first team. It is one of the few clubs in India that offers a player development pathway as part of its program. BFC has Elite and Academy teams from the U8s till the U18s and Reserve Squad which act as a feeder to the first team playing in the Indian Super League (ISL). With the BFC-TSS program, BFC is offering children an opportunity to better themselves and thereby qualify for a scholarship to come into the BFC academy at Bellary. This will eventually help the talent pool to expand for the reserve and first teams in the future.
Mr Hason Khaleeli is the Head Coach for the TSS project. He stays on campus full time during the course of the program, which is designed by our Head of Youth Development and Assistant Coach of the first team Mr. Naushad Moosa.

The BFC program offers 10 sessions (technical, tactical, physical, and mental) per week. It will be a year-round program keeping in consideration the major tournaments and best interest of the Childs development in mind; based on best practices followed at BFC.
Apart from regular sessions that have an element of football specific fitness, the students will also be helped with conditioning sessions. The TSS has a fully equipped gym which will be used as part of the program. Specialist Strength and Conditioning experts are available at the campus.
The Head Coach will also be reviewing sessions and methodology on a regular basis with Head of Youth Development and Head of BFC Soccer Schools.
The ratio of coach to player is at 1:15. On developing full squads in each age group, every team will function with a Head Coach and Assistant Coach.
Apart from the Leagues and Tournaments that will be planned; External Tours will also be considered once travel is normalized. Students at TSS will be offered international exposure tours to Rangers FC in Scotland who are partners of Bengaluru FC.
From time to time, the Head Coach and Technical Head of BFC Soccer Schools and Grassroots Development will be reviewing the program and the performance indicators of the players. Based on this, players will be given an opportunity to either train at the BFC Residential Academy or trial with the age-appropriate teams in their respective age groups.
The BFC academy consists of some of the best players scouted from across India. TSS program complements the Academy program by stretching the talent base up for selection to the academy.
TSS program is an avenue which works closely with the academy and is always welcoming for children who are ready to make that step up. The program design at both the Academy and TSS are in close alignment and follow the same principles. Ultimately, Bengaluru FC aims to spread its net wide and give every talent an equal and fair chance of making it to the club’s first team.
