Hailing from Karnataka, Robin Uthappa began his cricket career too young, starting by representing India in the Under-19 tournaments. In 2005 and 2006, he was recognized for his play skills at the Challenger Series (India-B). Soon after, he came into the limelight when national selectors put him into the ODI squad against England, played in India. He has played for various cricket world cups. Through the years, Robin Uthappa has played consistently in the Indian Premier League.
